On route from Myrtle Beach to Mount Pleasant

Friday 26th and we move on from our vineyard down highway 17. We were recommended to stop off at Brookgreen Gardens and as it has a sculture garden we just had to pay a visit. Wow, certainly worth it. Extensive gardens and sculptures many in bronze dating back from modern to the late 1800's. One of our favourites, The Triad, one of the photos above.
We did have a laugh at the signs about not harassing the alligators, as if anyone would ???
On from here to Mount Pleasant just outside of Charleston and checked into a KOA. Kamps of America. We discovered on checking in that tomorrow is a BIG day on the Charleston calendar, 30,000 odd people descend on the city to run the bridges !! A sort of marathon we think we might do the city tour on Sunday !

  1. Hi Mike & Sue,

It sounds like you are having a blast! You certainly don't do things by halves do you!

Nice to see you were able to hook up with John & Pat in Charlotte, our home city back in 1984. Enjoy Charleston and the good ol' boy southern hospitality.

Now only 4 weeks to go and we are off to Hawaii. Wipppeeeee !!

Do you haveSkype on your laptop? If so we can have a chat sometime while we are both on our travels.

    Take care
    Love Trevor & Marion xx
