Wed 19th and off to Waupaca Wisconsin

Off at 0815 to the I-39 to the state border and up into Wisconsin. Gorgeous morning as the pics show. Nice quiet roads to start with until we get to Rockford Illinois and roadworks !!!! Flat farmland until a few miles into Wisconsin then still farmland but also trees and rolling hills. Again roadworks and really bad roads surfaces around Madison Wis. Our old rig certainly took a pounding ! After Madison the two lane highway was very good for the rest of our journey and we made good time.

Bliss the road north after Madison was great and we got to Sandy and Jack's lovely home on the lake at 1.45pm just in time for a beer !! Had a good chat and catch up with them and then a great evening as they had invited friends and neighbours over for dinner to meet us.
