New River Gorge and a rest

A visit 2 miles down the road to New River Gorge Bridge.

Walked down 60 steps for the better view point. Sadly to really get down in amongst it we would need a car so a quick top up of vitals at Wal-Mart and refuel the rig and back to the campsite for an afternoon rest !! It's hot 90 degrees.

The bridge is the longest single span bridge in the world

The New River is actually one of the oldest in North America

  2. Hi you two, its good to have you back online again, we were getting a bit lonely out here in cyberspace! Glad to here you had a great time with your friends in Wisconsin.

We are now back in Phoenix and stayed in a real funky midtown hotel last night where we were treated to a brazilian marshall arts show, a true spanish flamenco show, great mexican food and the most amazing sunset from our open air roof top bar area. Photos to follow when we get time.

Today is our last day and we fly to Philadelphis this morning then back to Manchester tonight. The end of our amazing journey. Boo Hoo :-(

See you in June at Robert's bash.

Enjoy the rest of your trip, we will be checking you out when we arrive back in the UK.

    T&M xx

  4. Ha Ha guess what! We arrived in Philadelphia from Phoenix an hour late because of the bad weather yesterday and our flight to Manchester was already closed and overbooked (25 people could not get on it!). We had already volunteered to come off the flight if required and have negotiated two days in Phillie in the Hilton hotel at US Airways expense plus $550 each off our next flights with US Airways and they are now flying us back to Manchester on Saturday 1st Class. Envoy lounge here we come! Its worth volunteering to step off your flights if time is not an issue. The airlines will usually give you a good deal for volunteering.

Keep on trucking or will you be doing your next trip on the back of a Harley as silver haired Rockers?
