Saturday 8th May

We have decided to go for a change of plans. We were going to go up as far as Washington and across to the Outer Banks but have decided as we have time to head back in land to West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and then Wisconsin and visit with Sandy and Jack who we met on our Alaskan tour last year. Not sure it is such a cleaver thing to do as it is lovely and hot and sunny here and they had a layer of snow last night !!! Sandy says it should improve by the time we get there !!

    You need to go to the Outer Banks the area is stunning and very wild. Hopefully the weather will be kind to you and you can walk along the sand dunes without being hit by a hurricane force wind as well as being sand blasted! Enjoy the area T&Mx

    It was a highlight of out trip but after trying to get camp sites and the really really high cost we thought we'd do it another time as we would have been there for about a week at least. We hear they have big green flies that bite as well !!! S x
