Back on the road again and a quick hop down the I-65 to Glasgow and up onto to The Cumberland Parkway East to Somerset.
A warm sunny morning and a very nice drive on a 2 lane highway with very little traffic
We just happened to pull over here for a quick leg stretch and I spotted the water tower, he he ! Michael did his good deed of the day as a very large gentleman also stopped and fell into the ditch so Michael helped him get out !!! It is local election time in these parts, including sheriff, jailer, coroner etc and there are boards everywhere to vote for "who ever" It turned out our chap was one of the locals who was up for election as coroner and someone had taken his sign down and thrown it into the ditch so he was retrieving it when he fell !!
Our spot at KOA Corbin and we are back onto Eastern time so just 5 hours behind UK
We organised car hire for next few days quite a bit to see and do here (cheaper to have a deal for a week than daily so we may stay a bit longer and poke about more and do a bit of chillin')
We asked for compact but the only car they had (or so they say) was this red beast, a 3.5 litre Dodge Charger !! Was same price so......
We're off tomorrow to ride the Big South Fork Scenic Railway
