Back on the trails again, first stop Cumberland Falls

Woke to a foggy morning after a very chilly night but no rain !! On with the hiking shoes again and off in to the mountain to Cumberland Falls
The song for today for some reason is Paradise By The Dashboard Lights !
Sun has burnt of the fog and it's a beautiful morning at the Falls

Rainbow over the falls. It is one of only 2 places in the world that also has a moonbow

Down stream

After all the rain of the past few days the river is running high making the falls even more powerful
The flow of water has ranged from a record low of 4 cubic feet per second to a high of 59,600 cubic feet per second, the annual average flow is 3217 CFS

Looking back at the falls
Next hike is to Eagle Falls which is downriver from Cumberland Falls

  2. Yes I was thinking of you and that you wouldn't mind ! Todays song is Over The Rainbow, not sure why apart from it's a beautiful morning here. Can understand the Meatloaf one as we heard it on the radio a couple of days ago. Mostly we listen to country but suddenly we had a rock station pop up.
