Wow they never said this is the tornado season !!

Well there we were, it was coming up to midnight and we were just watching the end of a movie when we heard these sirens going on and on, then the camp site owners started banging on everyones doors to take shelter as there was a tornado warning/alert. It was really odd, it was very warm and still but masses of lightening. By the time we had walked over to the shelter (the restrooms/showers) there was golf ball size hail stones and strong wind then very heavy rain. We hung out in the gents washroom for half hour or so with fellow campers and their dogs until given the all clear that it had passed by us !! We got back to find we had a wet duvet and carpet as we had not had time to close down the hatches. We kept an eye on the weather channel while clearing up ad got to bed about 2am !! All was well and we could look at it as another adventure !
Clear blue skies and windy this morning, lots of leaves and debris about, fellow camper had lost a couple of his hatches so we were lucky ours were still in tact, Michael had to do some leaf clearing from them but that was all.
Took off to see the local sights
Downtown Corbin
Really neat art work by local artists depicting the historical relationship with the railroad in Corbin

And onto London via Manchester
Last stop for today Laurel River Dam
Had a relaxed morning and late lunch at Cracker Barrel. So much of it that our doggy bag of chicken was enough with some salad for this evening.
Heavy rain has set in, hoping it will pass over ready for tomorrow's trip to Cumberland Gap
