Our campsite is near a tram stop so able to get into Gatlinburg easily

Indoor golf !!!
We decide to take the skylift !!
One view from "uptop"
Do I look "green" ?? I never did like those lifts even when we used to go skiing but at least I could then ski back down, having said that coming down was a piece of cake !!!Beautiful morning and day, high 70's into 80's.
Well what can we say about Gatlinburg, Bill you were quite right when you said "just pass on through" but Myra you were also right with it's a great place to people watch !!
To us English it is one big fun fair !!
We had a walk about and up in the Sky Lift but our hearts not in it today after yesterday's tyre problem so back to the rig and a beer and the Masters. We of course would have loved Lee to win but we were very happy with the result, well played Phil.
Ok got to finish our tale of being stuck on the mountain. Firstly Michael flagged down a passing motorist who said she worked for the police department in Charlotte, well she did have a gun !!!! She took our coordinates and said she would contact the rangers when she got in range or passed their station. She said don't flag anymore motorists, there are loads of bad people about and that we should get in the rig and lock the doors and tell anyone that asks help is coming !!!!! Well that put the fear up us I can say ! Anyway it was hot and we stayed outside but looked carefully at all the other motorists who stopped to admire the view (we were by a very nice river). After an hour and no sign of the rangers luckily one passed by and Michael was again able to flag her down. She was so nice and helpful, staying with us for an hour or more and checking back on us from time to time. Eventually help arrived in the shape of 3 guys. father, son and grandson. Time to pay and as it's $254 we don't have enough cash on us and their credit card reader had no signal of course so off they go with my boy back down the mountain to Cherokee. ! Well this time I did sit in the rig and that was a long 20 minutes. Those banjos were playing in my head !!! When Michael got back we did laugh as he couldn't believe it the grandad, nice old chap that he was, chewed tobacco. They had sat Michael up front with him and he chewed and spat all the way up and down to Cherokee. Ummm those banjos are closing in !!
